InterBulk Group plc – ‘Safety is Paramount’
InterBulk Group have successfully worked for the World’s leading chemicals companies for over 30 years. In order to have gained this achievement, we have implemented and developed sophisticated safety procedures in order to stay ahead. We operate a Safety Improvement Plan (SIP), which sets out our vision and requirements for continuous improvement with people, equipment and procedures on all related QHSSE issues
We place the highest possible emphasis on safety and quality. We continually train our staff and provide them with the tools to surpass ADR standards.
Whilst we are one of the World’s longest established global tank operating companies for hazardous chemicals, our accreditations need to be among the best in the business.

Our experience also extends ton handling of stringent European Food and pharmaceutical legislation. We transport and store a large number of dry and liquid bulk food materials including sugars, malts and starch and on the liquid side a number of alcohols and fruit juice concentrates.
For each new flow, we use standard tools to monitor the steps for developing the QHSSE action plan. A typical plan has the following steps:
- Perform route risk analysis
- Determine nature of product
- Co-ordinate specific training of personnel
- Study product – equipment compatibility
- Carry out pre-trip inspections
- Conduct driver training & product labelling
- Conduct a load point/discharge point risk assessment
- Audit cleaning station
- Supervise cleaning
- Repair and Maintenance every 6 months
