Industry Applications

ISO-Veyors™ allow the effective transportation, storage and discharge of dry bulk materials. The concept is an extension of present ISO-tank technology, popular in the transportation of liquids and gases.

Our patented technology, gained from over 30 years of Clyde Blowers pneumatic conveying experience enables us to fluidise powder/granular materials, with the simple addition of compressed air. In short, InBulk Technologies™ makes the dry bulk material flow from the ISO-Veyor™ as if it were a liquid.

  • When placed on a skeletal trailer and ISO-Veyor™ becomes a powder road tanker.
  • When placed on a rail car, the ISO-Veyor™ becomes a rail powder tanker.
  • When placed on the ground, the ISO-Veyor™ becomes a ready made weatherproof silo.

ISO-Veyors™ are an alternative to intermediate bulk containers and look similar to ISO-Tanks for liquids and gases; however they are built for the transport, storage and discharge of powders and granules without the need for tipping. With the addition of a simple air supply, InBulk™ have developed a patented system that fluidizes the material and makes it flow from the tank as if it were a liquid. The InBulk ISO-Veyor™ offers no loss in payload as we do not follow the ‘belly tanker’ principle, where payloads are sacrificed to make way for angled cones.

ISO-Veyors™ come in a range of configurations, specifications, sizes and material of construction based on the properties of the material for transport and intended use.

ISO-Veyors™ can be used for many powder and granular materials like minerals and building materials for construction, chemicals, plastics or food products.

The ISO-Veyor™ has been designed with a number of key criteria in mind. Maximum payloads – The ISO-Veyor™ design does not follow the ‘belly tanker’ principles as InBulk™ have developed a patented system which fluidizes powders on a flat surface within the confines of the ISO-Tank barrel. This technology was developed from over 30 years of experience of dense phase pneumatic conveying.

  • Minimum Tare Weight - results in a greater amount of product for transport.
  • Minimal time to discharge – discharge times of 1 tonne per minute are achievable. Discharge velocity can be controlled.
  • Minimum Residue – Residue of only 0.2% following discharge. Simple access via ‘man way’ hatches on the dished ends allows easy manual vacuum for cleaning the ISO-Veyor™.
  • Robust design – Results in few moving parts and easy maintenance and repair which give long operating life expectancy of the ISO-Veyor™.

The ISO-Veyor™ range can be broadly split into the followinGH Types:

  • GH Type (Granular) - for horizontal discharge of free flowing granular materials including lime, calcium carbonate, Soda Ash, Ferrous sulphate, silicon, sugar, fertilizers and animal feeds etc
  • PH Type (Horizontal) – for horizontal discharge of powders including cement, lime, ash, Ground Granulated blast furnace slag, EAF dust, flour, starch, titanium dioxide etc.
  • V Type (Vertical) – for sludges, slurries and catalyst materials for Refinery reactor charge-ins / charge-outs, interceptor waste oil sludges, sewage sludge, filter cakes or any difficult or inconsistent powders and granules.
  • ISO Silo (Combined storage silo and pneumatic transfer systems) – available in granular or powder varieties for fast and flexible on-site storage.
  • CleanCat™ (The cradle to grave process for catalyst ‘charge-outs’ and ‘charge-ins’ in the oil refining industry) – specialist equipment for conveying, transporting and storing catalyst.
