Europe - New contract starts for InBulk
InBulk Technologies, InterBulk’s Technology arm and designer of ISO-Veyors have delivered the first 10 ISO-Veyors out of 40 for delivery this year to our alliance partners Norbert Dentressangle. These units commence working on the 13th May on dedicated business for white cement for Lafarge from le Teil in the South of France to multiple clients in the North of France using Novatrans Railway to trunk and local Norbert Dentressangle trucking depots in Entraigues and Paris to load and deliver.
This economic and sustainable logistics solution is estimated to save half a million road kilometres and five trucks for the six month campaign compared to a road only solution.
The PH Type ISO-Veyor is designed and constructed to innovative patents held by InBulk Technologies.
The fluidisation technology enables dense phase delivery of powders such as cement, lime and fly ash without the need for a tipping chassis.
The low weight and 34m3 cube of the 30’ Aluminium unit ensures maximum intermodal gross vehicles weights of 44T can operate with upto a 30T product payload.
In addition InBulk has also secured an order for new ISO-Veyors in North America for existing client Lafarge Cement NA. Lafarge North America’s Montreal office has ordered more of the 20ft PH type ISO Veyor for a marine shipment of cement powders to Newfoundland customers from the Port of Montreal.
A Lafarge spokesman in Canada comments, “We are delighted to be placing another order for ISO-Veyors as the flexibility of this solution minimized logistical risks, while reducing costs to a minimum and maximizing supply chain efficiencies. Empty containers are offloaded, transported to our terminal for reloading and returned same day to the Ship for the return leg. Lafarge also recognizes the ISO Veyor technology supports our corporate goals for sustainability”.
