Dense phase pneumatic conveying is best suited for transporting difficult, abrasive or friable materials. The material is pushed along a pipe in the form of a ‘plug’ at relatively low velocity. This means minimal wear on pipes/bends, promoting minimum maintenance and longevity.

A dense phase system consumes less air / nitrogen, thereby reducing energy consumption compared to lean phase and medium phase systems.
